Fishing Habitats
A number of organizations have partnered to enhance fish habitats across Claytor Lake, including through FOCL programs such as Christmas for the Fishes. Artificial structures provide habitats for black bass, sunfish, Black Crappie, Walleye and Hybrid Striped Bass.
Vegetation Habitats
FOCL works with partners like DWR, BassNation and Pulaski County High School to transplant natural aquatic vegetation into Claytor Lake.
Pulaski County High School Horticulture Department uses their greenhouses for growing the eel grass.
